This is our second entry of what I hope will be a long running series of blog entries on how sports can change a life.  Last week we can showed a video of a player named Jean Claude on Rwandan Cooridnator Serieux's team which can be seen here.  At Play For Hope we often say that sports is a language that transends culture.  It breaks down barriers and allows us to understand others and learn that we are all human.  This is the story of one such young man who learned that sports can help him learn he is not alone and that others share his problems.  Together they can overcome their problems.  We hope you enjoy hearing this week from Jean Pierre, who also plays on Serieux's team.  The transcript can be found below the video.

My name is John Peter (Jean Pierre) Biyakiteto.  I am 18 years old.  What football has done in my life…I have never been happy before and I was always angry for no reason.  Since I began to play football, I have become more open with others. Playing football has helped me to see that there are other guys who have the same problems like me and I can share with them.  My wish is that there would be a way for me to go back to school.  I dream about going to a vocational training school.
